STONE COLD WINNER. There’s no disputing it. The 2023 World-Wide Mustard Competition Grand Champion is an American-made stone ground that comes from the Deli-Brown Category. This year’s champ is Kelley’s Gourmet Stone Ground Mustard. Although their website says, “Enjoy our complete line of gourmet salad dressings and condiments,” we are particularly focused on indulging in their now-champion mustard, and rightly so. Congratulations to Kelley’s, the latest member of our elite club of grand champions!

To arrive at the Grand Champion, more than 20 chefs and food writers from around the country taste each of the 18 Gold Medal winners — one gold from each category — and they are ranked. The Curator of the Mustard Museum enters their scores into a top secret Grand Champion spreadsheet, tallies the results, and determines the winner of this prestigious international award.
